Why this matters

Dated bookings show a limited, venue-by-venue rollout so far rather than a wide release. The studio itself says further dates are still to come, so this list is a floor.

British Horror Studio has released the trailer for “Black Chariot,” which Dread Central debuted on October 2. The studio lists Lawrie Brewster as director, working from a script co-written with Sarah Daly, and a cast that includes Laurence R. Harvey and Megan Tremethick. It is shot in black and white.

The studio’s posts both list Lumière Cinema in Romford (October 30 to November 5) and Peckhamplex in London (November 16 at 8:30 p.m.). The studio says more dates are expected. The screenings go through BHS Picture House, which the studio describes as its recently launched cinema distribution division.

The studio pitches it as a crime scheme gone wrong in which the line between pursuit and haunting blurs, with a 1957 Wolseley as the sinister presence.
