When we get something wrong, we fix it, and we say so. A changed fact, number, name, date or attribution always gets a correction note on the story and an entry here. A fixed typo does not.

- An earlier version of this story, headlined 'The man who built Slimer gets the documentary treatment,' said that no review of the film from anyone who saw it at Fantasia existed. Reviews had been published from July 27. That version also reported the Fantasia premiere as having happened on the strength of a July preview rather than a review, stated Johnson's credits on Slimer, The Abyss and other films without attributing them, and described his memoir as a two-volume series. Those claims have been removed, and the story has been rewritten from the reviews and Horror Society's report on the Brooklyn lineup.
